As the center for both your sick and well health management we are here for you and will continue to support all of your health needs through this uniquely challenging time. If you have any questions about the polices or information outlined on this page please call our office. 860-868-7318
These policies will continue to evolve as necessary under the ever changing conditions. In the update section at the bottom of this page are a highlight of changes that have been made to the full policy so you can quickly and easily get up to date.
In response to the Sector Rules governing fitness studios we have added "REOPEN CT" items to address the specific topics raised by the reopening process mandate. While these policies are written in response to our fitness studio services ALL services provided by our center will follow these guidelines.
As an integrated preventive health center with medical, fitness and coaching services working together our access and use of PPE is well established. We have the advantage of obtaining and implementing proper utilization of personal protective equipment from the medical industry.
We ask that you bring with you and wear a mask while coming in and walking through our facility. Please only remove your mask once you are in a designated space. Our team will wear masks while working with you when we can not maintain 6ft of space. Consultation spaces will be marked so that clients know when they are at a safe distance and unobstructed conversation can be held.
We are going to limit the number of clients within the building to those with active appointments. This will ensure that social distancing indoors is maintained. Outdoor fitness classes will have section markers indicating appropriate distance.
50% capacity limitation will be observed. We will NOT be holding indoor classes at this time. Outdoor fitness classes will be held while maintaining social distancing.
Clients are asked to wait for their appointments in their vehicles. Please call when you arrive and someone will come out to get you. After your visit is complete you will be brought to the front desk to schedule your next appointment and complete and paperwork needed. The floors will be marked for where to stand while waiting and maintaining social distancing. We will continue to give extra time before and after appointments to stagger them. These efforts will continue to avoid cross traffic and reduce the number of surfaces you encounter.
We stagger lunches naturally to best manage phone coverage and will continue to do so during these times. All team member shifts are logged as a normal course of business and we will continue to do so during these times. Commonly used doors are being left open. (Pardon the appearance but this helps reduce contact with frequent touch points surfaces.) Our team has also been spaced out to give everyone an individual phone and work desk.
We ask that you bring a full water bottle with you to your fitness session.
We will be leaving the fitness studio and office windows open as often as possible, especially when meeting with clients.
New elements or updates to our policy are reviewed during our morning huddles everyday. Violations to our policy are addressed immediately and reviewed again as a group during huddle. The state rules along with this document have been shared with our team and reviewed item by item. New team members are taken through the same process before joining.
Every morning we check the temperatures of all team members and write them down for the week. We also ask for any symptoms that team members may have (fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell). Those who are ill are asked to stay home.
We are going to continue outdoor fitness sessions exclusively. We will restart indoor sessions in the future when more appropriate. We can accomplish an excellent fitness class outside and have virtual classes available online as well.
We have partnered with the Washington Selectman's office to utilize the Town Hall Auditorium for indoor group sessions. This facility is very large and allows us to maintain social distancing during the classes.
The safety of our community and clients is of utmost importance. We have an isolation protocol in place so please follow instructions that are given over the phone. We want to reassure you that we clean every room and piece of equipment thoroughly between each client. We also do this in our fitness studio using bactericidal and virucidal products for all of the equipment. These are all general precautions taken on a day to day basis (even outside this pandemic).
During the current pandemic, for indoor services, our health professionals wear face masks and we ask that you do the same.
In the event you do not feel well, please respect our request and your fellow community members by refraining from training or health coaching visits with 24 hour notice. We will ask you to reschedule if you present ill to these activities.
Please call ahead for sick visits, do not walk in. When you are scheduling your visit, please inform our team of any possible COVID-19 contacts and any recent travel.

COVID-19 testing (PCR and antibody) is available through Quest. We have the ability to test our patients for COVID-19 through PCR and we have nasal swab collection kits in house. The protocol for testing is a self quarantine until symptoms subside OR 2 weeks OR until the test returns negative, whichever is longest. Currently the test takes a few days to result. Any test performed by our office will be subject to the standard testing protocol.
There are several limitations to this test (in general, not specific to Quest) and we request that you have an in person or virtual visit with one of our providers prior to ordering the test. This ensures that you understand the limitations of the test and what the results will mean for you.
Please wash your hands frequently with soap and water or 60%+ alcohol hand sanitizer. We are here if you have questions. We also recommend consulting the WHO, the CDC and coronavirus.gov for up to date information as the situation is changing rapidly. Remember to disinfect your home when someone is sick. Information regarding suggested protocol is also available on the CDC website.
